In 2013 I decided to follow my dreams, but first let’s go back a bit!

 

Estate agency is my background and in 1985 after completing a two year full time

'Valuation and Estate Agency' national diploma course at Norwich City College I secured

my first job as an office junior in Aylsham, Norfolk.  After working for several years in

corporate estate agency I was offered the chance in 1997 to run an independent business

in North Walsham, which is where I remained until following that dream in 2013.

 

Self employment commenced in February that year as ‘John Newstead Home Inspector,’ the name reflecting my surveying qualification, which amongst other things, allows me to provide energy performance certificates (EPCs) for residential properties.  But the dream was always to earn a living doing what I love – photography – and as I made new contacts, property photography rapidly became my main source of income, and it remains so today.

 

I live in North Walsham, Norfolk, with Lynne, my wife of 30 years, our cat Toby and our little 4 year old dog, Robin, who has his own section on this web site!  We have a grown up son, Tom, and two grand children, 3 year old Alfie and 1 year old Evie.  When not taking photos professionally I enjoy taking photos (yes, it’s still my hobby,) playing lawn bowls in the summer and billiards during winter months; both these sports for our local club in North Walsham.
